Meet Katie, your Wild Wonders postpartum mood disorder Doula. Passionate about all things postpartum (we even include postpartum in our birth packages!). Katie is a mama to a two-year-old, a former foster parent, and a survivor of postpartum anxiety and mood disorders.

Katie is a State-Certified Doula, and is trained in understanding Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders (PMAD's). Shes committed to helping families thrive beyond birth. She is a volunteer at Postpartum Support Virginia, and member of Postpartum Support International.

Our Philosophy

"Mother the mother, gently."

Wild Wonders recognizes Postpartum mood and anxiety disorders as more than postpartum depression, or anxiety. Many moms often struggle with more serious conditions like postpartum OCD, Bipolar, and PTSD, and Psychosis.

These conditions become more debilitating as time goes on.

Many don't acknowledge it until 6 months!

By then, they think they're too late.

But, there isn't a time limit on healing physically or emotionally.

Recognizing this, Wild Wonders Doula supports women throughout the first year.

Yes, even (and especially) if you're 6 months in.  We want to teach you coping skills, we want to cook dinner for the family, we want to do the dishes, we want you to be able to function, to enjoy life, and be happy again. Even in prenatal services, we're helping you prepare for postpartum.

Our focus is always on you. Did you drink enough water today? Did you go outside? Did you shower? Did you eat? Did you stretch? How much time did you spend on social media? Do I sound like I'm trying to be your mom? Good. That's intentional.

Mother the mother, gently.

Not just a doula, a partner in wild & wonderful motherhood.
